The Mission

It is not very difficult to foresee a total chaotic situation in the Indian Job scenario in the not too distant future.

Due to the present trend of downsizing of workforce in almost every organization, there is going to be tremendous influx of skilled and experienced professionals in the Indian market, who would be searching for suitable openings to utilize the remaining 10 to 15 years of service left in them.

On the one hand, there are thousands and thousands of young and educated, but inexperienced men and women, who desperately need a job. On the other hand, more matured and experienced people, who have become free on account of VRS and who are also readily available to work on the low wages without casting any long term liability like Provident Fund, Gratuity etc.

As a result, the young professional looking to start their career might get deprived of their justified opportunities. Many organizations, the SMEs in particular, would prefer the former.

Industries may consider it a ‘good enough bargain’ as they will gain valuable skill and benefit of experience from the field. At the time of crisis, veterans will be more dependable.

The Downside:
They will miss the enthusiasm, energy and vigor of youth, quick adaptability to latest technology and practice by the young mind and computer savvy approach of the present generation. Every industry, including the SMEs, has to adapt the modern practices to stay competitive in the open world market these days.

It creates a catch-22 situation for our industry. Neither can we take the opportunities away from fresh graduates, nor can we allow the invaluable experience and skill from the field to get prematurely lost from the industry.

Some efforts should be given by every one to tackle this situation for the sake of the nation, no matter how insignificant such individual effort may seem.

Our effort will be to create more options for these experienced and skilled professionals by

Offering short term contractual services:
We will identify and create a database of these professionals with the detail record of their core competencies. This information will be available here for the industries and whenever there is a need for a particular skill or experience, we would take the initiative to steer the same to the right professional. We will encourage the industry to avail their short term contractual services during the emergency situations and period of crisis.

Encouraging Knowledge transfer:
We will encourage these professionals to conduct various workshops and training programs to transfer their knowledge and experience to the young and educated, but inexperienced groups to make them ready to enter the industrial scenario without much difficulty. Such programs will be conducted by them either jointly with various universities or independently under our supervision.  These young groups can be given well designed trainings on industrial safety, environment protection, energy conservation, modern maintenance management techniques etc. that may prove extremely beneficial for the organization employing them.  The details of such trained young groups will be displayed here and we will encourage the industries to recruit them.

Encouraging entrepreneurship: We will also encourage this experienced group for entrepreneurship in the area of their core competency and thus creating more jobs in the market.
